Lexington and Concord Battle
On April 18, 1775, Joseph Warren learned from a source inside the British high command that Redcoat troops would march that night on Concord. (http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battles-of-lexington-and-concord)
They first traveled by different routes to Lexington, a few miles east of Concord, where revolutionary leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock had temporarily holed up. (http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battles-of-lexington-and-concord)
The British then continued into Concord to search for arms, not realizing that the vast majority had already been relocated.(http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battles-of-lexington-and-concord)
They searched Britain for hours and then after they had noticed that 2,000 of the militia men were dead.
The colonist lost and did not do very well that day.
Many men were killed about 3,500 and about 250 were wounded
